Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer in Los Angeles to own secure delivery between development and cloud infrastructure. You will shape how engineering teams build, validate, secure, package, and release software using AWS, GitLab, containers, and IaC.

You will automate CI/CD, optimize pipelines and security controls across the software supply chain, and collaborate with software, security, and infrastructure professionals to maintain reliability and audit-ready

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevSecOps/DevOps/SRE experience.
• Hands-on GitLab administration with CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on AWS experience.
• Strong container security and image management.
• Infrastructure as Code with CloudFormation / CDK / Terraform.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• Eligible for U.S. DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with Python/Go/PowerShell automation preferred.

• Build delivery automation spanning compilation, testing, security validation, packaging, and release.
• Develop reusable AWS infrastructure patterns for secure, repeatable provisioning.

Focus:

• Build reliable delivery automation spanning software compilation, testing, security validation, packaging, and release.

• Embed security throughout the development lifecycle using automated code, dependency, credential, artifact, and software supply chain controls.
• Support software delivery within isolated and highly controlled environments while maintaining reliability, traceability, and disciplined access management.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, networking, and security stakeholders to translate compliance needs into practical technical controls and audit-ready evidence.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and security monitoring while helping engineering teams adopt effective DevSecOps practices.

Skill Set:

• 5 or more years of professional experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Candidates with less than five years of relevant experience will not meet the requirements for this position.
• Significant hands-on GitLab administration experience, including CI/CD pipeline configuration, runner management, permissions, and security functionality.
• Hands-on AWS experience supporting cloud infrastructure and automated software delivery.
• Strong knowledge of container security, image management, registry workflows, and secure software delivery practices.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform, Helm, or comparable technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Must currently possess, or be willing and eligible to obtain, a U.S. Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience with Python, Go, or PowerShell automation, regulated technology environments, security compliance frameworks, or relevant cloud and cybersecurity certifications is preferred.
