Job summary

PingWind seeks a seasoned DevSecOps Engineer to join our federal-facing team. You will embed security across the software lifecycle, work with developers and security engineers, and help deliver secure, scalable government solutions.

Requirements include 10+ years in DevSecOps with 5+ years in cybersecurity and cloud security at large agencies, and the ability to obtain VA background investigation. Remote role with potential travel, supporting federal clients.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines across the software development lifecycle.

• Support containerized and cloud-native environments with secure practices.
• Perform and support security assessments, vulnerability management, remediation, and incident response.
• Support source code repositories, Git, version control, and automated builds/deployments.
• Collaborate with developers, security engineers, cloud architects, and operations teams to resolve risks.
• Develop and maintain documentation for DevSecOps processes and security integrations.

Required Clearance

Certifications

Certification in one or more of the following: IAT III, IAM III or IASAE III certifications. IAT III/ IAM III / IASAE III certifications may be substituted for a relevant Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience

PingWind is seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting a large Federal Government client. Apply expertise in software development, cybersecurity, cloud security, and automation to integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle. The DevSecOps Engineer will work closely with developers, security engineers, architects, and operations teams to embed security controls into development workflows and help our government client deliver secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of DevSecOps experience of which at least 5 years are of Cybersecurity and Cloud Security experience at a large Government agency similar in size/scope to GSA, IRS, DoD or VA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or related fields.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required VA background investigation/suitability and system access.
• Expertise with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-native environments.
• Experience integrating security tools into DevOps pipelines and automating security processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• VA/Federal DevSecOps experience.
• Infrastructure-as-Code or security-as-code experience.
• Experience with automated security testing and cloud-native security tooling
