Job summary

Auria Space is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer for its Colorado Springs, CO site to advance CI/CD operations across cloud environments and maintain the DevSecOps toolchain. You will automate testing, integration, and deployment while upgrading the software factory as needed.

The role requires strong scripting and IaC/SaC knowledge, experience with GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, plus an active US Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree with 7+ years of relevant DevSecOps experience (Level 3) or Master’s with 4+ years (Level 3).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines across cloud platforms.
• Proficient in scripting and IaC/CaC/SaC practices and secure software development.
• Active US Secret security clearance and strong communication skills.

Job description

Auria is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support the development of the Wideband Global Satellite Communications (WGS) Global SATCOM Satellite Configuration Control Element (GSCCE). This is an onsite position in Colorado Springs, CO.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

• Responsible for developing and enhancing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) operations in multiple cloud service environments
• Support software quality efforts associated with product deliveries, conduct ongoing lifecycle maintenance of the DevSecOps toolchain, and implement upgrades to the software factory as needed
• Conduct automated system testing, integration, and deployment using DevSecOps tools and methods Recommend and implement upgrades and modifications to DevSecOps workflows and tools/products
• Occasional CONUS and OCONUS travel to support on-site GSCCE installations

WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

• Engineer Level 3: Bachelor's degree and 7 or more years relevant experience or master's degree and 4 or more years relevant experience

• Strong programming skills in Bash, YAML, Python, PowerShell, and AzureCLI
• Experience using GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, and Jenkins
• Experience using AWS cloud and GCC High
• Experience with planning or supporting planning missions over a SATCOM constellation
• Experience with Spacecraft configuration and SATCOM resource allocation
• Experience using application security concepts and vulnerability remediation techniques
• Experience working within an agile system development framework, conducting engineering tasks for a complex system
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage numerous demonstration events at the same time
• Active US Secret security clearance
• Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Proficiency with M.S. Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:

• Experience with software development, test automation, and system automation that supports the development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and Security as Code (SaC)
• Expertise with a modern software factory's CI/CD processes, tools, and technologies. This includes knowledge of technologies such as GitLab, Ansible, Terraform,, Nexus, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of secure software development methodologies and implementing full-stack infrastructure with a Security First mindset
• Knowledge of security standards such as NIST 800-171, STIG Compliance, and Ansible Lockdown
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team using tools to assist system development, such as Jira and Confluence, is highly desirable
