Job summary

CAE USA Inc. is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to provide RMF-guided DevSecOps support for the C-17 program. The role focuses on tracing security controls to system requirements, integrating cybersecurity into acquisition and architecture across multiple enclaves.

Strong DoD security engineering expertise is essential. The position requires active Secret clearance, DoD/industry certifications, and 2–7 years of ISSE experience in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Education in engineering or CS as specified.
• Active Secret Clearance required; DoD certifications preferred (CISSP, CISM, CASP, CEH, CHFI or DoD IAM-II/III).
• 2–7 years ISSE experience in DoD or regulated environments.
• DISA ESS Administrator 201/301 and ePO 5.10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ISSE support per contract requirements and integrate cybersecurity into architecture and processes.
• Trace cybersecurity controls to system requirements in acquisition.
• Capture and document information security requirements across ATS.
• Apply RMF, DoDI 5000.02/5000.83 guidance and NIST SP 800-160.
• Support vulnerability analyses with ISSOs and maintain RMF artifacts.
• Assist with audit logs, ACAS scans, STIG assessments, and endpoint protection.
• Coordinate with network admins to maintain PPSM entries per DISA.
• Maintain hardware and software baselines with CM teams.
• Assist with vulnerability scanning using DoD-approved tools (Nessus).
