Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the NGG team in Boulder or Longmont, CO. The role focuses on building and operating secure, scalable ground systems for OPIR with sensitive program access.

You will automate provisioning, manage pipelines, and collaborate across cross‑functional teams while maintaining strict security standards and clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Git and Git based development workflows.
• Experience with Ansible and/or Terraform, or familiarity with other IaC toolsets.
• Familiarity with Python, Bash, or other shell scripting languages.
• Hands on experience using Linux operating systems (e.g., RedHat, Ubuntu, CentOS) with CLI and security configuration.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and document technical concepts.
• Ability to obtain Sec+ within 60 days; active Secret clearance; TS/SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the ground‑station platform supporting SBIRS and Next‑Gen GEO OPIR.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and continuous‑delivery pipelines for ultra‑reliable, secure, and scalable ground systems.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineers and mission specialists to ensure robust operations and security.
• Maintain and improve software deployments and runbooks across multiple environments.
