We are looking for a DevOps Technical Specialist to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. This role involves designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services such as intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audiovisual systems, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial clients across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

Utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices, the role focuses on automating deployment of infrastructure, code, applications, and image management to streamline development and operations. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team responsible for designing, implementing, integrating, and supporting enterprise IT platforms, including secure cloud-hosted and on-premises environments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Researching and evaluating technology options for functionality, performance, security, and interoperability.
  • Collaborating with development and operations teams to resolve issues and improve automation practices.
  • Managing scripts and automating deployment workflows using third-party tools.
  • Monitoring deployment health, resolving issues, and redeploying as necessary.
  • Maintaining and improving IaC architecture and design, source code repositories, and deployment pipelines.
  • Developing reusable automation modules for network, systems infrastructure, data storage, messaging, and cybersecurity.
  • Creating and maintaining configuration code for enterprise IT solutions.
  • Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, optimizing cloud environments, and managing configurations.
  • Executing capacity planning, updates, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Documenting system designs, configurations, procedures, and maintenance plans.
  • Developing data flow pipelines to integrate applications and federate data among systems.

Qualifications

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance required. Candidates will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship.

Key Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s in engineering preferred.
  • Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher within six months of hire.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional or Systems Engineer certification is highly desirable.
  • At least 15+ years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or GED; 10+ years with a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of IaC and DevOps architectures, automation frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), development tools, source control, and deployment systems.
  • Experience with application lifecycle management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, GitLab.
  • Proficiency with Windows platforms, Active Directory, GPO, VDI, networking, and storage, including cybersecurity aspects.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Azure and cloud services.
  • Understanding of ETL tools and techniques, network protocols, and infrastructure concepts.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
