Job summary

The University of Maryland, College Park’s Division of Information Technology seeks a Software Engineer to join the DevOps team. The role focuses on building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing enterprise software platforms, and delivering automation across cloud-based applications.

You will collaborate with engineers and architects to optimize software delivery, develop custom tools, and support modern development practices in a dynamic campus IT environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of professional software engineering experience.
• Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom applications, tools, and automation solutions to support software development teams and improve operational efficiency.
• Manage, administer, and support enterprise software platforms, including vendor-provided products and software development/DevOps tools.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist engineering teams with software delivery best practices, troubleshooting, and DevOps-related technical issues.
• Monitor application delivery environments and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Evaluate and support emerging technologies, including AI-enabled development tools and enterprise AI platforms.
