Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer for a 200+ FTE ICAM program in Chantilly, VA. You will lead strong systems and software using cloud capabilities to support a complex program throughout the SDLC, including architecture, design, coding and testing.

This role requires TS/SCI with polygraph, a Master’s degree with 15+ years of experience, expert Linux, and mastery of DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Rundeck), AWS services, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Master's degree and 15+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
• Expert in Linux operating system usage
• Expert in using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Rundeck
• Expert in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices
• Direct experience utilizing software testing performance tools, such as J-unit
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and tempo
• Experience scripting and using AWS services including CloudFormation, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, etc
• Experience with containerization (Docker, EKS, ECS, etc.)
• Experience with Nexus administration
• Experience establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Well versed with using version control systems
• Well versed with using issue/problem tracking systems
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Agile development methods
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including container orchestration, deployment, and scaling in a production environment
• Proficiency in building, managing, and optimizing containerized applications using CI/CD pipelines, along with knowledge of container registries and security best practices

Responsibilities

• Support on-call rotation to ensure 24/7/365 mission-critical services.
• Estimate scope, architecture, design, coding, and testing as part of major deliverables.

Job description

Leidos is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer on a 200+ FTE technical development program responsible for delivering modern Identity Access Credential Management (ICAM) solutions. As a DevOps Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to build strong systems and software utilizing cloud capabilities to support a complex program. Based in DevOps framework, you will participate in and/or direct major deliverables throughout all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding and unit testing. This role requires supporting an on-call rotation to ensure mission critical services remain operational 24/7/365. Rotation is typically to be on-call 1 full calendar week every 2 months.

Pay Range $154,050.00 - $278,475.00
