Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Dallas, Texas is seeking an experienced DevOps/Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP, build CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, and ensure reliability across production environments.

The role emphasizes observability with New Relic, Linux administration, IaC, and on‑call incident management, with a focus on security, scalability, and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Jenkins, Kafka, New Relic, DevOps Automation.
• Experience with Linux system administration.
• Expertise in CI/CD implementation and release management.
• Experience in monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and production support skills.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and cloud operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments.
• Manage production environments with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.
• Implement observability and monitoring solutions using New Relic.
• Configure and maintain Kafka platforms and messaging infrastructure.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive problem resolution for production incidents.
• Define and monitor SLAs, SLOs, and Error Budgets.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve system performance and deployment processes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management best practices.
• Support disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability strategies.
• Participate in on-call support and incident management activities.
