Job summary

Bullhorn is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and run deploy and release pipelines, automate build and deployment processes, and advance our GitOps strategy across teams in the US and UK. You will containerize environments and modernize tooling to enable faster, safer software delivery.

Ideal candidates automate repetitive tasks, write Python and Bash scripts, and collaborate across a distributed org. This role emphasizes reliability, security, and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Automation mindset with a focus on eliminating toil and manual steps.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting abilities.
• Experience with modern CI/CD and GitOps practices.
• Hands-on with containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Experience with deployment tooling and artifact repositories.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain deploy and release pipelines and automation to reduce manual intervention during releases.
• Build and improve internal release tooling; automate packaging, DBA approvals, code/script deploys, and release workflows.
• Advance CI/CD GitOps with reusable GitLab CI templates, Helm charts, and ArgoCD applications.
• Containerize and modernize QA and lower environments to production parity (Kubernetes, Helm, Ansible).
• Modernize build tools across the organization to leverage latest tech.
• Collaborate with distributed teams across US/UK time zones; attend standups.
• Troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure issues and resolve environment-specific problems.
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and developer enablement.
