Job summary

AdVision Development seeks a DevOps/Platform Engineer to own our cloud infrastructure and security posture. This greenfield role focuses on building automated, reliable systems from the ground up to empower our development team.

You will move operations from reactive to proactive, implement CI/CD pipelines, and establish monitoring, logging, and incident response processes to keep services stable and scalable for fast growth in the sports betting/igaming content space.

Qualifications

About the Role

As our first dedicated DevOps / Platform Engineer, you will own our cloud infrastructure. This is a greenfield role focused on building secure, reliable, and automated systems from the ground up. You will be responsible for moving our operations from a reactive to a proactive state, directly enabling our development team to deliver value faster and more safely.

What You'll Do

• Own, manage, and optimize our cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Design and implement an infrastructure security strategy, including vulnerability scanning and access controls.
• Establish and automate our system update and software patching processes.
• Develop a monitoring, logging, and alerting system to proactively identify and address issues.
• Lead our incident response process and conduct blameless post-mortems to drive improvements.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to improve our development lifecycle.

What We're Looking For

• Core Skills
• Strong, hands-on experience managing production environments in AWS (EC2, S3, EKS, VPC, IAM).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
