Job summary

We are seeking a DevOps/Platform Engineer to own the infrastructure powering our customers. This role is a product-facing position focused on building the platform from the ground up, shaping architecture, tooling, and standards for the engineering team.

You will own core platform components including Kubernetes, Kafka, databases, observability, and CI/CD tooling, while coordinating across AWS and Azure to ensure reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a DevOps/Platform/SRE role, building infrastructure from scratch.
• Production experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and Kafka.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform / OpenTofu).
• Security and tenancy with least-privilege access.
• Bonus: Argo Workflows experience.
• Bonus: data-pipeline infrastructure (Spark) experience.
• Bonus: on-prem delivery experience.

About the Role

We’re looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to own the infrastructure our customers run on. For us, that’s not a support function. It’s the product.

You’ll shape how our platform is built from the ground up: the architecture, the tooling, and the standards the whole engineering team ships on. You’ll work closely with the entire Engineering team on the systems behind our data pipelines and agentic workloads.

It’s a high-ownership seat with real influence. Your decisions will define the platform, not just maintain it.

What You'll Do

• Build and own our core platform: Kubernetes, Kafka, databases, observability, and the CI/CD and workflow tooling the team ships on

• Set the infrastructure architecture across AWS and Azure and own reliability, security boundaries, and cost

• Work closely with Backend and Data Engineering on the infrastructure their pipelines and agentic workloads need

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Platform, or SRE role, including building infrastructure from scratch, not only operating existing systems

• Kubernetes (EKS) and Kafka in production

• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform / OpenTofu)

• Strong security and tenancy instincts: customer data isolation, least-privilege access, blast-radius thinking

• Experience with Argo Workflows - advantage

• Experience with data-pipeline infrastructure (Spark or a similar batch / stream engine) - advantage

• On-prem delivery experience - advantage
