Job summary

COMO is seeking its first DevOps / Platform Engineer to own the infrastructure behind our AI-native cyber resilience platform. You’ll build the platform from scratch across AWS and Azure, delivering isolated environments and multi-tenant SaaS isolation.

You’ll set the architecture, ensure reliability and security, and collaborate with Backend and Data teams to enable pipelines and agent workloads. This is a hands-on, independent role shaping our cloud-native stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, Platform, or SRE building infrastructure from scratch.
• Production experience with AWS and Azure.
• Kubernetes (EKS) and Kafka in production.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Experience as first infra hire or solo domain owner.
• Strong security and tenancy instincts: data isolation and least-privilege.

Responsibilities

• Own and design core platform infrastructure including Kubernetes, databases, observability, and CI/CD tooling.
• Create isolated restore-test environments and multi-tenant SaaS isolation across clouds.
• Define global infrastructure architecture across AWS and Azure with reliability and cost in focus.
• Coordinate with managed service provider for routine ops while keeping customer-facing parts in-house.
• Collaborate with Backend and Data Engineering on pipelines and workloads.

About the Role

We're hiring our first DevOps / Platform Engineer to own the infrastructure that is the product. At COMO, customers experience our infrastructure directly: isolated restore-test environments, on-prem collector delivery, and multi-tenant SaaS isolation. You'll build the platform from scratch across AWS and Azure and make the architecture decisions, while routine ops stays with a managed service.

What You'll Do

• - Build and own our core platform: Kubernetes, Kafka, databases, observability, and the CI/CD and workflow tooling the team ships on
• - Design and build product-critical infrastructure: isolated restore-test environments in customer cloud accounts, on-prem collector delivery, and multi-tenant SaaS isolation
• - Set the infrastructure architecture across AWS and Azure and own reliability, security boundaries, and cost
• - Define the split with our managed-service provider: routine operations stay with them, architecture and everything customer-facing stays with you
• - Work closely with Backend and Data Engineering on the infrastructure their pipelines and agentic workloads need

What We're Looking For

• - 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Platform, or SRE role, including building infrastructure from scratch, not only operating existing systems
• - Hands-on production experience with both AWS and Azure
• - Kubernetes (EKS) and Kafka in production
• - Strong Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform / OpenTofu)
• - Experience owning infrastructure as a first or early infra hire, or in a clearly solo domain
• - Strong security and tenancy instincts: customer data isolation, least-privilege access, blast-radius thinking
• - Experience with Argo Workflows - advantage
• - Experience with data-pipeline infrastructure (Spark or a similar batch / stream engine) - advantage
• - On-prem delivery experience - advantage
