Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a seasoned IT/DevOps lead in Irving, TX who will collaborate with business units to prioritize projects and drive delivery and support status. You will champion system improvements to reduce costs, ensure governance, and adhere to SDLC processes, while guiding teams toward innovative, scalable DevOps solutions.

You will mentor a team of Analysts and Developers, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery within budget.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
5+ years' progressive IT, project and software development experience.
1+ years' experience in software development as a technical lead or equivalent; CI/CD experience.
ITIL framework knowledge, DevOps methodologies, SDLC knowledge; Agile and Waterfall experience.
Experience with TeamForge application development tools.

Responsibilities

Collaborate, influence and communicate with business on project/enhancement prioritization and delivery/support status.
Champion improvements of systems to solve problems, improve stability, drive down costs, and apply strategic thinking.
Determine, monitor and review project budgets, schedules and resource requirements.
Ensure projects follow defined project delivery methodology, architectural standards, processes and policies.
Accountable for the delivery of projects on time, within budget and with high quality.
Champion and promote benefits of software processes, governance, and SDLC change management.
Develop and foster environment that stimulates innovation and champions adoption of new technical approaches.
Contribute to DevOps strategy and integrating tools into delivery pipeline.
Drive and develop continual process improvements, promoting best practice standards, and recommending scalable DevOps solutions.
Ensure associated roles and team capabilities are aligned to meet support standards and business needs.
Provide mentoring, coaching and development for team of Systems Analysts and Developers.
Work with teams to drive automation methodologies to deliver value sooner to the business.
Enhance teams' knowledge of Production Control applications and processes.
Set goals and policies to change behavior and secure desired outcomes.
Encourage individuals to be creative and innovative to meet customer demand.
Partner with manager in decisions for projects, support, and personnel actions.
