Red Alpha in Reston, VA is seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer who designs scalable, secure cloud architectures and leads implementation and deployment across AWS/Azure/Google Cloud. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, automated pipelines.

The role requires 5+ years in DevOps, 3+ years CI/CD, Kubernetes and Docker experience, TS/SCI with Polygraph, and a collaborative, proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• A TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.

For this particular role, we're looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to assist with the maintenance of an existing legacy applications and support the transition to a new, modern system architecture.

What you bring to the table:

All of our Dev)ps Engineers need the following skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• A TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.

For this particular role, you will also need:

• Demonstrated 5+ yrs of DevOps experience
• Demonstrated 3+ years of Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) experience
• Demonstrated 3+ years of Kubernetes and Docker experience
• Demonstrated experience in supporting cloud agnostic environments
• Demonstrated experience in integrating automatic test tools into the CI/CD pipeline
• Demonstrated experience with Linux Operating Systems
• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining complex functions and scripts in support of cloud services
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Proficient with Git

These are important skills to have, but not necessarily mandatory:

• Experience with building security hardened images
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools e.g.Terraform

Salary Range:

• Disclosed pay ranges are a general guideline, and are not a guarantee of a final salary or compensation. Our approach in determining final salaries takes into consideration a number of factors such as education, certifications, total years of relevant professional experience, actual level of expertise, and the responsibilities of the role itself.
• Based on the outlined roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is $150,000 - $225,000.
