Job summary

CACI International is seeking a highly experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Maryland team. This role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph and a strong background in automation, containerization, and monitoring to support national security solutions.

You will manage IT infrastructure, implement scripts, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve reliability and performance while navigating complex programs.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
• 10+ years of experience in programs of similar scope and complexity
• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, CS, IS, or related field
• 5+ years SA experience may substitute for a degree
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash or Python)
• Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Salt
• Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes
• Familiar with Nagios or Splunk

• Implement, troubleshoot, and maintain IT systems
• Manage daily configuration and operations of IT infrastructure
• Provide user support and resolve IT issues across various platforms
• Monitor system performance and conduct capacity planning
• Collaborate with agency management and internal customers on escalated issues
• Configure and optimize UNIX and Windows operating systems
• Implement enhancements to improve system reliability and performance

Qualifications

Required:

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
• 10+ years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• 5+ years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash or Python)
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Salt)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker or Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios or Splunk)

Desired:

• Familiarity and experience with some of the tech stacks used by our development teams
• Experience with load balancing (HAproxy, httpd)
• Knowledge of web servers (Tomcat, Nginx, Java)
• Database expertise (MongoDB, Postgres, MySQL)
• AWS experience or certification (Cloud Architect or SysOps Administrator)
