Job summary

Cornerstone Defense is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Herndon, VA to deliver automation and big data analytics for the IC community. You will join a collaborative team of software, systems, network, and data engineers to build secure software for scalable customer networks.

The role emphasizes deploying AWS resources, maintaining CI/CD, and ensuring security compliance. Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph is required to apply, with a rewarding benefits program and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in DevOps, front end or full stack development.
• Experience with Bash scripting and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in AWS environments and Linux administration.

Responsibilities

• Deploying and provisioning AWS resources (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC).
• Building and troubleshooting CI/CD using GitLab and GitHub.
• Run vulnerability scans, patching, and security compliance maintenance.
• Designing and maintaining Kubernetes and EKS clusters for high availability.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to meet requirements and implementing process improvements.

Title: DevOps Engineer Location: Herndon, VA Salary Range: 1$80 - $230k *Clearance: *Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph needed to apply * The DevOps Engineer will leverage their technical background to help deliver automation and big data analytics for the IC community. You will be trained in DevOps and work alongside a collaborative team of Software Developers, Systems Development Engineers, Network Engineers, and Data Engineers to develop unique software that enables customer networks to safely operate at scale.

Responsibilities

• Deploying and provisioning AWS resources including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM roles, and VPC configurations to support scalable architecture
• Building, maintaining, and troubleshooting continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes using GitLab and GitHub
• Running routine vulnerability scans, applying patches, and updating cloud and physical infrastructures to ensure security compliance
• Designing and maintaining Kubernetes and EKS clusters to ensure high availability and productivity for the development team
• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure complete and functional systems that meet all requirements
• Recommending, and when approved, implementing process and policy improvements

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years' experience with DevOps, front end development or full stack development
• Experience with Bash scripting
• Experience working within AWS (Amazon Web Services) environments
• Experience working with Linux administration and systems design
• Experience creating CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with network documentation including security compliance, configuration management, and patching
