Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a senior platform DevOps engineer to develop, manage, and secure a container platform on cloud infrastructure for clients. You will drive orchestration improvements using Kubernetes and IaC, while maintaining security posture and compliance with client requirements.

You will collaborate with teammates to influence strategy, design, and deployment standards, and help strengthen your DevOps skills through challenging cloud-native projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience deploying cloud resources on AWS.
• Experience with containerization, building images, and orchestrating deployments on Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code deployments.
• Knowledge of container networking, monitoring, and storage solutions.
• Knowledge of container security technologies and mitigating vulnerability findings.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISSP, or GSEC Certification within 4 months of hire date.

As a DevOps engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges. As a senior platform DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you’ll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.

You’ll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience working with deploying cloud resources on AWS
• Experience with containerization, building images, and orchestrating deployments on Kubernetes
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code deployments
• Knowledge of container networking, monitoring, and storage solutions
• Knowledge of container security technologies, and evaluating and mitigating or resolving vulnerability findings
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISSP, or GSEC Certification within 4 months of hire date

Nice If You Have:

• 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes deployment orchestration tools such as ArgoCD or Flux
• Experience developing in Java or Python
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana or Elasticsearch, Kibana, and FluentD
• Experience with the design, deployment, and management of cloud environments, including AWS or Azure
• Experience using or migrating CI/CD pipeline solutions or tools, including Jenkins, Git, or TeamCity
• Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
• Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby, and leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
• Knowledge of Linux or UNIX administration and automation
• Knowledge of foundational system administration principles
• Kubernetes Certification
