DevOps Engineer - Public Trust Technology Systems

DevOps Engineer needed for a contract opportunity with SOC's client to work remotely.

Contract Length: 6+ Months, with the possibility of conversion to FTE.

*Must have an active Public Trust clearance to be considered for this role.*

Job Description:

The F-16 Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) Support team is looking to hire a skilled DevOps Developer to support and automate our Azure infrastructure and Azure DevOps pipelines. Your primary duties will include bridging the gap between our .NET developers and Azure Cloud Administrators, supporting pipelines, automating our Azure environment, and maintaining application security.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  • Monitor, optimize, and secure Azure cloud environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Implement security best practices, policies, and compliance controls in Azure environments.
  • Set up monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve SDLC processes.
  • Maintain and update the On-Premises Azure DevOps server.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ or higher certification (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM).
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, pipelines, Terraform, and cloud security best practices.
  • At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or system administration.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps services (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts, Boards).
    • Experience with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for infrastructure automation.
    • Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
    • Knowledge of Git and version control best practices.
    • Understanding of networking, security, and identity management in Azure.
    • Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Prometheus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Kubernetes or containerization.
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert or similar certification.
Additional Details:

Estimated minimum rate: $49.52; estimated maximum rate: $70.74. Actual pay depends on experience and qualifications.

Employment prerequisites include background investigation and drug urinalysis.
