Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a DevOps Engineer focused on PowerShell automation to support approximately 16 applications in a primarily on-site Charlotte, NC environment. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, scripting, and proactive automation to improve operational reliability and efficiency.

You will collaborate with infrastructure teams, potentially support Linux environments, and balance engineering tasks with ongoing operational duties, with a strong autonomy-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Experience writing PowerShell scripts from scratch for automation.
• Background in a Windows Server environment from an operations/DevOps perspective.
• Strong troubleshooting and autonomous problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain PowerShell automation scripts from scratch to improve operational efficiency and system reliability.
• Automate Windows Server–based operations, including monitoring, remediation, and deployment assistance.
• Identify manual processes and proactively develop automation to eliminate repetitive tasks.
• Partner with application and infrastructure teams to improve system stability and performance.
• Provide support for environments that may include Linux systems, requiring general familiarity.
• Balance engineering work with support responsibilities, applying autonomy in problem-solving.
• Document automation and operational processes to facilitate team knowledge sharing.
