Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a DevOps/infrastructure engineer to design and build scalable CI/CD pipelines across multi-cloud and on‑prem environments. You will work on development tooling, deployment automation, and pipeline improvements with Python, Bash, Groovy or Java.

Day-to-day work is hands-on with 70% automation and 30% operational support, collaborating with engineering and SRE teams to ensure high availability for millions of users across Apple News, Stocks, Weather, and Creator Studio.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a DevOps or infrastructure-focused role for large-scale systems.
• Expert Kubernetes experience, including deployment and troubleshooting on EKS.
• Advanced scripting: Python, Bash, Groovy or Java for automation.
• CI/CD expertise with ArgoCD, Jenkins, Gradle/Maven and GitOps workflows.
• Cloud platforms experience (AWS and/or GCP).
• IaC tools such as Terraform, Pulumi or CloudFormation.
• Linux, networking basics, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP and load balancing.
• Ability to debug complex distributed systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitOps.
• Manage and scale Kubernetes deployments on EKS and on-prem clusters.
• Develop internal tooling and automation scripts to boost productivity and reliability.
• Architect and maintain IaC with Terraform and Pulumi across AWS and Apple environments.
• Leverage AWS services (EKS, S3, ElastiCache, SNS/SQS, SageMaker) to support backend systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and SRE to define deployment standards and upgrades.
• Monitor infrastructure health and provide operational support for high-availability apps.
