Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking a Development Operations Engineer to join our Annapolis Junction team in Maryland. The role focuses on Kubernetes, Linux administration, and containerized deployments within a DoD/DoD-like environment.

You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage IaC with Ansible and Terraform, and ensure secure, scalable Kubernetes clusters while supporting hybrid cloud operations. TS/SCI-Polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years' experience with software and system deployments, Linux system administration, containerization, cloud deployments, DevSecOps.
• Experience performing network services from design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrade of LAN/CAN/WAN networks; administration of Arista and Cisco devices; configuring and optimizing networks to connect front-end and back-end components.
• Strong Linux (RHEL/CentOS) administration and troubleshooting; proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab and using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, managing and configuring Kubernetes clusters for high availability, scalability, and security.
• Experience with management and monitoring of hybrid cloud/virtualized environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage deployments and DevSecOps workflows in Linux environments.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/GitLab and IaC (Ansible/Terraform).
• Configure and optimize Kubernetes clusters for HA, scale, and security.
• Support hybrid cloud/virtualized environments and network services.
• Travel as required.
