Job summary

Anakim Consulting is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to help migrate infrastructure to AWS, apply IaC, and support automation alongside a DevSecOps team. The role emphasizes growth as you implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and scripting across cloud services.

You will gain hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform, and AWS while developing documentation and working in an Agile environment. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship (no dual citizenship)
• Ability to obtain U.S. Government security access (Public Trust level)
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or related discipline
• Equivalent years of related experience or training may be considered in lieu of a degree
• 2+ years of related experience supporting cloud engineering or DevOps in AWS enterprise technology environment
• AWS certification at the Associate Level – Demonstrated understanding of cloud computing concepts, services, and operating models
• Demonstrated experience working hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and containerization supporting DevOps environment
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and technologies such as AWS or Terraform
• Configuration Management experience using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar tools
• Demonstrated proficiency with scripting in one or more languages such as Python, PowerShell or Bash to support automation tasks
• Ability to estimate timelines and workloads and estimate cost strategies to optimize implementation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to present technical information to technical and non-technical team members
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment

Anakim Consulting Inc. is hiring a Junior level DevOps Engineer with experience applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to support an AWS enterprise cloud environment. Qualified candidates will have foundational experience designing and implementing AWS cloud infrastructure and an interest in learning and growing in the role.
