Job summary

Astek is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines for clients in IT, banking, insurance and ecommerce sectors. The role emphasizes Infrastructure as Code, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, monitoring, and secure, scalable production systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial DevOps/SRE experience.
• Experience with at least one public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Built and maintained CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• IaC practices with Terraform/Ansible/Helm or equivalents.
• Linux environment automation (Bash, Python, Go).
• Monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog).
• Git with GitOps or trunk-based development.
• English at least B2 for documentation and collaboration.
• Nice-to-have: cloud/Kubernetes certs; Istio/Linkerd; FinOps awareness.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of DevOps Engineer for our clients in the IT industry. We are continuously recruiting for DevOps positions on projects delivered for clients in the banking, insurance, telecommunications, and e-commerce sectors. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining cloud environments and CI/CD processes.

• You have at least 3 years of commercial experience as a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or in a related position
• You have worked with at least one public cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP
• You know containerization and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes
• You have built and maintained CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• You have practical experience with the Infrastructure as Code approach (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or equivalents)
• You are confident working in a Linux environment and automate tasks using scripts (Bash, Python, or Go)
• You have worked with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog)
• You know Git and have worked using the GitOps or trunk-based development model
• You have English language skills at a minimum B2 level (working with documentation and in an international environment)
