Job summary

Planet DDS is seeking a DevOps Engineer III focused on cloud infrastructure with strong Azure skills and hands-on DevOps, CI/CD, and Terraform-based IaC. You’ll help drive efficiency, optimize cloud spend, and contribute to architectural decisions across the engineering org.

You’ll build IaC with Terraform, modernize deployments, and ensure security, reliability, and cost effectiveness. This role involves on-call rotations and collaborating to adopt AI-powered tooling to accelerate provisioning

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience providing Infrastructure as Code, scripted solutions for deploying software, application security, containerization, creation of CI/CD pipelines that ensure quality software delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Azure (AWS & GCP experience a plus).
• Strong background in scripting (Terraform, Powershell , Python, Databases, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and AI-powered observability tools to improve developer productivity and system reliability.
• Background in high-quality software development and delivery.
• Ability to analyze and provide timely solutions to increase efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, contain costs, improve quality, increase security and improve maintainability across development processes and CI/CD pipelines.

Overview

Salary & Compensation

Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for variable pay as part of the total compensation package.
