Job summary

Expand Energy seeks a technical professional to ensure reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of enterprise platforms and apps. You will partner with developers, data engineers, Salesforce admins, and platform owners to design resilient systems and automate operations across cloud, integration, and low‑code environments.

You will support CI/CD, observability, and AI development platforms while applying DevOps and SRE best practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years related work experience.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, primarily Microsoft Azure; working knowledge of AWS.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).
  • Experience supporting SaaS/PaaS platforms; environment management and support.
  • Strong OS knowledge (Linux and Windows Server).
  • Understanding of distributed systems and microservices resiliency.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with application, data, Salesforce, and platform engineering teams to design and support reliable, scalable, and secure systems.
  • Maintain deep expertise on supported platforms and services including Salesforce, MuleSoft, Azure, M365, Informatica, and Automic to proactively identify reliability risks.
  • Design and implement infrastructure and platform automation using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management practices.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines across cloud and SaaS platforms.
  • Apply and promote DevOps and SRE best practices, including automation standards and deployment strategies.
  • Participate in incident response efforts, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
  • Develop and maintain modern observability solutions using tools such as Splunk for log aggregation and alerting.
  • Identify and eliminate manual operational processes through scripting and automation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve application performance and resiliency across integration layers.
  • Contribute to capacity planning, cost optimization, and system scalability initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools and approaches to improve platform reliability and developer productivity.
  • Document architecture and reliability standards.

Job Summary

The position is a technical role responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of enterprise platforms and applications. This role partners closely with developers, data engineers, Salesforce administrators, and platform owners to design resilient systems, improve deployment practices, and automate operations across cloud, integration, and low‑code environments. It contributes to DevOps and cloud engineering practices by supporting automation efforts, enhancing system observability, and assisting with incident response and continuous improvement initiatives. The role combines hands‑on technical skills with a focus on system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency across a diverse enterprise platform landscape.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Partner with application, data, Salesforce, and platform engineering teams to design and support reliable, scalable, and secure systems
  • Maintain deep expertise on supported platforms and services, including Salesforce, MuleSoft, Azure, M365, Informatica, and Automic, to proactively identify reliability risks and improvement opportunities
  • Design and implement infrastructure and platform automation using infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration management practices
  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines across cloud and SaaS platforms
  • Apply and promote DevOps and SRE best practices, including automation standards, deployment strategies, and cloud architecture patterns
  • Participate in incident response efforts, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post‑incident reviews to drive systemic improvements
  • Develop and maintain modern observability solutions using tools such as Splunk for log aggregation, correlation, and alerting across distributed and integrated systems
  • Assist with the setup, administration, and operational support of AI development platforms and tools (e.g., Microsoft Foundry, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code), including environment provisioning, CI/CD enablement, and support for AI‑assisted and low‑code development workflows
  • Identify and eliminate manual operational processes through scripting, automation, and platform engineering solutions
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve application performance, fault tolerance, and resiliency across integration middleware (MuleSoft) and data pipeline (Informatica) layers
  • Contribute to capacity planning, cost optimization, and system scalability initiatives
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and approaches to improve platform reliability and developer productivity
  • Document architecture, operational processes, and reliability standards
Job Specific Skills
Cloud & Platform Engineering
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms, primarily Microsoft Azure, with working knowledge of AWS
  • Experience deploying and supporting infrastructure using infrastructure‑as‑code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Bicep)
  • Experience supporting and administering enterprise SaaS and PaaS platforms, including configuration, environment management, and operational support
  • Strong foundational knowledge of operating systems (Linux and Windows Server)
  • Understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and resiliency patterns
Identity, Security & Networking
  • Working knowledge of identity and access management concepts, including integration with identity providers (e.g., Azure AD/Entra ID), single sign‑on (SSO), and role‑based access controls
  • Familiarity with modern authentication and authorization patterns, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and token‑based access for APIs and services
  • Familiarity with networking and security concepts for cloud and SaaS platforms, including VNET/VPC configuration, private connectivity, and secure service access
  • Experience managing secrets and secure configuration using tools such as Azure Key Vault or similar vault technologies
DevOps & Automation
  • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar platforms
  • Expertise in DevOps practices, including deployment automation, environment management, and release strategies
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
Observability & Reliability
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Azure Monitor, or similar platforms for log aggregation, alerting, and operational insights
  • Understanding of incident management, problem management, and reliability practices (ITIL‑based or similar)
  • Familiarity with performance tuning, system optimization, and capacity planning concepts
  • Understanding of AI‑driven operations (AIOps), intelligent alerting, and automation in support of system reliability
Enterprise & AI Platforms
  • Exposure to enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, MuleSoft, Informatica, or similar systems, with the ability to support environments and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) and emerging AI platforms such as Microsoft Foundry, including supporting environment setup, access, and operational considerations
Education

Minimum: High school diploma or GED
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree – accredited university – IT, MIS, Computer Science or related field

Experience

Minimum: 2 years related work experience
