Requirements

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer II to join our team and play a pivotal role in building, deploying, and maintaining scalable software solutions. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can work independently on complex development tasks , optimize infrastructure, and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers. You will be responsible for improving our CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring high availability of applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automate workflows, and ensure efficient software delivery processes.
  • Design, develop, and manage scalable infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Apply software architecture patterns (e.g., MVC, microservices) to design scalable and modular DevOps solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues involving multiple interrelated systems and dependencies.
  • Implement containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes) to optimize deployments.
  • Optimize cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, security, and operations teams to improve DevOps practices.
  • Guide and mentor entry-level engineers and Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET).
  • Own and drive initiatives that enhance engineering efficiency, automation, and self-service capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native services.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex system issues.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, load balancing, and security best practices.
  • Understanding of software architecture patterns and ability to design modular, scalable systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with experience working cross-functionally.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK stack).
  • Security best practices for DevOps pipelines and cloud environments.
  • Experience in mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
