Job summary

Abacus Insights is hiring for a contract DevOps Engineer to enhance telemetry, availability, and reliability of our health-tech platform. You will work on scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, implement CI/CD and IaC, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation and delivery.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of development, Linux administration, and hands-on Kubernetes and Docker experience, plus scripting skills in Bash or Python.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of development experience on complex systems.
• Strong Linux systems administration and networking knowledge.
• Experience implementing CI/CD with industry tools.
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Fluent in Bash, Python, or Terraform.
• Detail oriented with strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain secure, scalable cloud infra across AWS and Azure.
• Design and manage highly available infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to DevOps architecture and IaC practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams.
• Automate testing, validation, and deployment with Python scripts.
• Operate containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
• Support the deployment platform with cloud-based tooling.
