Job summary

Tecsys is seeking a DevOps engineer to prototype, architect, and build the development, production, and testing infrastructure supporting Tecsys services. You will automate deployments, manage Kubernetes and cloud resources, and improve reliability with IaC.

Join a team that values automation, on-call support, and close collaboration with development to scale the platform using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible on AWS/Azure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years supporting high-volume, highly available Java/.NET production systems.
  • 2+ years of AWS or Azure production experience.
  • Strong Linux/Unix, Bash, scripting, and networking fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or Jenkins.
  • Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, or Nagios.
  • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.

Responsibilities

  • Build and automate client infrastructure deployments.
  • Design scalable deployment, CI/CD, and automation solutions across the Tecsys platform lifecycle.
  • Leverage AI agents (Amazon Kiro) to orchestrate and accelerate technical tasks while validating results.
  • Develop deployment logic, automated tests, and incident-response playbooks.
  • Manage AWS/Azure infrastructure, hybrid architectures, Kubernetes, and container environments.
  • Monitor platform stability, troubleshoot incidents, and participate in on-call support.
  • Collaborate with Development teams on deployment automation and infrastructure scalability.
  • Plan and execute maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are looking for a DevOps engineer to join our team. The DevOps Engineer is involved in prototyping, architecting, and building the development, production, and testing infrastructure supporting Tecsys services. The Infrastructure & Production Operations team strives to automate everything, manages our infrastructure as a code, and builds our platform on the top of Open Source tools and applications.
