Job summary

Cognizant in Louisville, KY is seeking a DevOps Engineer to strengthen the reliability, scalability, and security of our tech platforms through automation and CI/CD.

You will manage cloud infrastructure with IaC, collaborate with software, security, and operations teams, and optimize deployment pipelines to support rapid and safe software releases in a hybrid work environment.

Hybrid role requires up to 3 days in Louisville offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or similar cloud/infrastructure role.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience with modern DevOps tools.
• Terraform experience and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Manage and automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Monitor system performance, health, and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Respond to and troubleshoot production incidents while driving root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with security teams to integrate security controls and best practices into development and deployment pipelines.
• Manage and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Perform platform upgrades, vulnerability remediation activities, and security compliance checks.
• Improve application scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency through automation and process optimization.
