Job summary

Atlas Tech, an IT company serving multiple DoD customers, seeks a DevOps Engineer to modernize the software delivery lifecycle by building automated CI/CD pipelines, managing Linux-based infrastructure, and advancing automation tooling. Must be US citizen with DoD Secret clearance and strong Linux background.

Role involves Red Hat, Ansible, Bash, Python, and pipeline orchestration, supporting Navy tactical communications systems. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must currently possess and maintain a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Robot, Jenkins).
• Programming/scripting languages (Bash/Python/etc.).
• Git, GitLab, GitHub Pipelines, Artifactory, Confluence and Jira knowledge.
• Knowledge of server architecture, compute, and storage configurations.
• Strong documentation and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and priorities.
• Self-Motivated, strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
• A passion for learning about, and working in the IT industry.

Responsibilities

• Build and automate GitLab or GitHub CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate DEVOPS tests using ROBOT Framework.
• Maintain source code in software repositories (Git).
• Administer Red Hat virtual machines (KVM) and containers (Docker/Podman).
• Automate maintenance and configuration tasks using Bash and Ansible.
• Research and resolve software trouble reports impacting functionality.
