Job summary

Equinox IT Solutions LLC. is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, architect, and develop Java/J2EE applications and robust DevOps workflows in a full-time role in Dallas, TX. You will implement build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automate deployments across distributed environments.

The position requires at least six months of DevOps tool experience, a related degree, and willingness to travel/relocate to client sites across the USA.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience with DevOps tools or technologies.
• Travel and relocation to client sites throughout the USA is required.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science/IT/Engineering or Bachelor’s with five years related experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect and develop Java/J2EE based applications and DevOps workflows.
• Develop new build and development frameworks for distributed applications using Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, and other CI/CD tools.
• Install Jenkins plugins for Git repositories, set up SCM polling for immediate builds with Maven and deploy apps via CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform enterprise system management, performance analysis, capacity planning, data security, backup and recovery.
• Manage major enterprise releases, deployments, configuration/architectural changes and fine-tuning of J2EE servers.

Master’s degree in Computer Science/ IT/ Engineering

Bachelor’s degree + 5 years progressive experience
