Job summary

Tech Mirrors is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for a 6-month onsite role in Sunnyvale, CA. You will work across multiple projects, integrating cloud and Linux environments with automation and CI/CD pipelines.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in IT, strong scripting skills, and hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. The role requires configuring and securing cloud infrastructure, managing IAM, VPCs, Route 53, and release processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Lead DevOps across multiple projects in Cloud and Linux environments.

DevOps Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA – 100% Onsite – Local Needed. Duration: 6 Months.

Role Descriptions

Important: DevOps Engineer must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time including Cloud & Linux environments.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

8-10 years of experience in the IT industry comprising Cloud computing, DevOps implementation, Linux administration, Build and Release Engineering in Configuration Management, automation, building, deploying and releasing across environments.
Expertise in Cloud Infrastructure Automation which includes Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform, Ansible, Ansible Tower, Jenkins, and Linux.
Experience in creating subnets, security groups, VPC and Route 53 for multi‑region environments.
Experience in using containerization and container management tools like Docker, Docker Compose and Kubernetes for orchestration.
Used Kubernetes to orchestrate the deployment, scaling and management of Docker containers.
Ability to develop XML, shell scripts, and Python scripts for monitoring and automating the build and deployment process.
Experience in establishing and maintaining the integrity of project artifacts throughout the software development lifecycle using configuration management tools such as Git, Jenkins, Linux and Windows environments.
Extensively worked on Jenkins for continuous integration and end‑to‑end automation for all builds and deployments.
Implemented shell scripts for release and build automation; manipulated and automated scripts to suit the requirements.
Experiences in branching, tagging and maintaining the version across environments using SCM tools like Git and SVN.
Strong ability to troubleshoot any issues generated while building, deploying and in production support.
In‑depth understanding of the principles and best practices of software configuration management (SCM) processes, including compiling, packaging, deploying and application configurations.
Experience in developing front‑end systems with JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3 as a platform for web applications.
Experience with build management tools like Ant and Maven, along with the ability to create, debug, diagnose and troubleshoot build scripts.
Experience with issue tracking tools JIRA and ServiceNow.
Experience supporting database systems including Oracle and MySQL on Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
Good interpersonal skills, team‑working attitude, initiative, proactive problem solving and providing best solutions.
