Job summary

EDI Staffing is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines across development, staging, and production. You will collaborate with engineering teams to accelerate deployments while ensuring reliability, security, and scalability in Azure.

Candidates should have five+ years in DevOps, strong Azure DevOps, scripting, and container tech (Docker, Kubernetes), plus experience with monitoring tools like Grafana or ELK.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in DevOps or a related role.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and Azure DevOps.
• A two-year degree in Computer Science or related field is required; a four-year degree is preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of networking, security, and system administration fundamentals.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools like Grafana, ELK, or Azure Monitor.
• Preferred: serverless architectures, microservices, API development, and distribution industry knowledge.
• Azure certifications such as AZ-400 or AZ-104, and familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, and ITIL practices are valued.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines enabling fast, safe, and repeatable software releases.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools like Terraform or ARM templates.
• Manage and optimize Microsoft Azure environments for availability, performance, scalability, and security.
• Use Azure DevOps to support version control, build and release pipelines, and project tracking.
• Monitor system health across development, staging, and production; investigate issues and reduce disruption.
• Partner with software engineers to improve deployment strategies, observability, and incident response.
• Track and improve DORA metrics: deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rate, MTTR.
• Apply security best practices throughout design and delivery workflows.
