The company consists of three primary lines of business: Xumo devices, Xumo Play, and Xumo Enterprise. Powered by Comcast’s global entertainment platform, Xumo devices feature a world-class user interface with universal voice search capabilities, making it easy for consumers to find and enjoy their favorite streaming content. Xumo Play is a free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) service offering hundreds of linear channels and on-demand options. Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical leadership in designing and implementing DevOps strategies.
2. Build and deploy applications to Google Cloud Platform.
3. Deploy ingest and streaming service software in Kubernetes clusters.
4. Develop and deploy microservices using Docker.
5. Maintain production server configurations using Terraform.
6. Use Jenkins to automate build and release processes.
7. Perform automation scripting using Bash, Python, and Ruby.
8. Deploy production services in AWS.
9. Handle incidents, conduct post-incident analysis, and implement preventative measures.
10. Administer content delivery networks.
11. Design and troubleshoot server-to-server communication across cloud networks.
12. Support and customize applications under development.
13. Assist with software updates and rollouts.
14. Analyze, test, and assist with integration of new applications.
15. Document all development activities and write technical documentation.
16. Research and evaluate current applications, patents, and practices.
17. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify requirements and integration needs.
18. Work with QA team to ensure applications meet specifications.
19. Guide and mentor junior engineers.

This position is eligible for 100% remote work.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least five (5) years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, Jenkins, Bash, Python, Ruby, and AWS.
• Minimum of three (3) years handling incidents, post-incident analysis, and preventative measures.
