Enlighten seeks a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Fort Meade team. You will deploy and automate cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes on AWS (EKS), build robust CI/CD pipelines, and manage containerized workloads to ensure high reliability.

The role requires strong Linux, Python or Bash, and Terraform/Ansible experience, with on-site work and DoD clearance readiness. Competitive compensation and a $20K sign-on bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Active TS security clearance currently held or ability to obtain; U.S. Citizenship required.
• 7–9+ years in DevOps or software dev with related degree; or 13+ years with HS diploma.
• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms; AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3, etc.) and deployment management.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Git, Flux, and Helm for deployment pipelines and config mgmt.
• Proficient in Python, Bash, or Go; strong problem-solving and terminal skills.
• DoD 8140/8570 certifications (Security+) within 30 days of hire; willingness to work onsite.

This position will include a $20K Sign On Bonus, if hired as an employee for Enlighten. Anticipated Salary Range:$150,000.00-$190,000.00. The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities. Seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge in Kubernetes and Container Orchestration, Configuration Management, CI/CD, Automation, Linux systems administration, Scripting in Bash and Programming in Python, AWS and a background in Big Data solutions. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for implementing infrastructure, automating deployment processes, and ensuring the monitoring, reliability and scalability of our services.This role currently supports a customer onsite in Fort Meade, MD.

Job Description

• Support development and deployment of cloud infrastructure in AWS, especially EKS.
• Automate deployment processes and implement CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliability and rapid scaling.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes containers and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to seamlessly integrate their applications into the operational infrastructure.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and resolve them to maintain high availability.
• Continuously improve processes and tools to ensure high availability and performance.
• Stay current with new technologies and industry trends, continuously exploring new ways to improve our infrastructure.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Clearance Requirement: Must currently have and maintain an active TS level U.S. Government Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI level Security Clearance is required.
• 9+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or Software Development and Bachelors in related field; or 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge with one or more of the following:
  
  • Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
  • AWS services (EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda) and their application to deployment and management of infrastructure.
  • Configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Application, container, and OS deployment, scaling, and management.
• Ability to develop in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with Git, Flux, and other development and deployment tools.
• Comfortable operating in a terminal-based environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Must have or be able to obtain DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications (i.e., Security+) within 30 days of hire.
• Must be willing/able to help open/close the workspace during regular business hours as needed.
• Must be able to work on customer site in Fort Meade, MD 5 days a week.Flexibility is essential to accommodate any changes in the schedule.

Preferred Requirements

• Currently holds an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Proficient knowledge of Linux, including system administration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Git, Flux, Helm, and other development and deployment tools.
• Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, Presto, etc.
• Experience with K9s, AWS CLI, AWS SNS, AWS SQS, and AWS Diode.
• Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites.
