Job summary

Ramtec LLC & Partners is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain DecSecOps architecture for client systems. The role requires active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly and on-site work at the Springfield, VA location.

The successful candidate will configure CI/CD pipelines, manage IaC, and deploy across Dev, Staging, and Production. Strong Kubernetes/OpenShift experience plus Helm and security-focused tooling are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps/Cloud engineering roles.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to manage networking for web applications (PCP/IP, DNS).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and OpenShift, ideally AWS insights.
• Experience creating/modifying Helm charts across multi-environment deployments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
• Experience with Gitlab CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/CircleCI or similar also considered).
• Knowledge of containers, monitoring/logging, and security.
• Python and Bash for tooling; ability to contribute code updates to repos.
• Security components integration with applications and databases.
• TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph; system design experience; Agile delivery.

DEVOPS ENGINEER - Top Secret Clearance Required

Ramtec LLC & Partners have an immediate need for an AWS DevOps ENGINEER to work full-time on-site at their client location in Springfield, VA. This position requires an active TOP SECRET with SCI level clearance.

HOW A SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Designs, defines, and maintains the DecSecOps architecture for new and existing software applications and systems. Has the ability to both write clean, working code and holds commanding knowledge of traditional operations tasks. Coordinates system development with software developers to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing. Manages and documents system configurations. Assists with deployment of new product features.

Job Duties:

• Configure CI/CD for multiple web applications
• Take source code, dependencies to perform application builds
• Perform automated testing and security scans
• Deploy to multiple environments (Dev, Staging, Operations)
• Create and maintain pipelines to multiple environments across multiple security enclaves (low to high development)
• Responsible for Infrastructure as Code and configuration management
• Author helm charts to deploy resources to OpenShift platforms
• Manage and document system security, by performing software updates in response to scan findings, document system, architecture to demonstrate security compliance

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Skills/Qualifications:

Required:

• 8+ years of experience
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering or any related field/major, or 3 additional years of experience in information technology
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems
• Ability to manage networking for web applications by understanding PCP/IP and DNS
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and OpenShift, with ideal knowledge of AWS
• Experience creating and modifying Helm charts and configuring deployments to multi-environments (e.g., dev, stage, prod) across multiple security domains
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (one or more of Terraform, Cloud formation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.)
• Experience with Gitlab and Gitlab CI/CD pipelines (knowledge of Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar will be considered)
• Knowledge of containerization, monitoring & logging, and network & security
• Experience deploying and managing databases, interacting with databases via SQL and ORMs
• Experiencing monitoring and updating tokens
• Comfortable using Python and BASH to create systems tooling
• Ability to contribute code updates/tweaks to existing code repositories
• Experience with integrating security components with applications and databases
• TS/SCI Clearance with CI Polygraph
• Experience with software system design, able to create application architecture for new applications
• Familiarity with Configuration Management and Request for Change process for review and assessment
• Experience with delivery of an integrated solution using Agile software delivery techniques
• Technical certification Network +, Security +, Oracle or specializing in Software Development, or Cloud Computing.
• Experience in System Engineering and project/program management.
• Knowledge and/or experience with NGA enterprise products (including NGA CORE tools; ie Wormhole)

CLEARANCE:

Active TS/SCI clearance and be willing to eventually obtain a CI Polygraph level clearance.
