Job summary

Moody's Corporation is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for its digital product suite. You will help modernize applications through serverless architectures and containerization, while implementing infrastructure as code and automated deployment pipelines.

Collaborate with engineering to ensure high availability, performance, and cost efficiency, with a focus on security and governance across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Proficiency with GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
• Basic knowledge of Linux-based OS with willingness to expand skills.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
• Understanding of security principles including access controls and secrets management.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Interest in AI concepts and exploring AI tools to enhance processes.

Responsibilities

• Support design, deployment, and operation of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and DevOps platforms powering Moody's products.
• Lead efforts to adopt serverless architectures and container-based platforms to modernize applications and delivery.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code for consistency, governance, and compliance across clouds.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable software delivery.
• Monitor and optimize AWS resources balancing reliability, performance, and cost.
• Administer SaaS development tools to support engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational excellence, automation, and platform reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, documenting learnings across teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance productivity, security, and scalability.

About The Role

We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join Moody's DC&I DevOps team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud infrastructure that underpins Moody's suite of digital products. Your expertise will help modernize our applications through the adoption of serverless architectures and containerization, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to implement Infrastructure as Code and automate deployment pipelines, fostering a culture of continuous integration and continuous deployment. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and contribute to high-impact systems that support Moody's global operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in source code management tools like GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab.
• Basic knowledge of Linux-based operating systems with a willingness to expand technical skills.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies, including Docker.
• Understanding of cloud and DevOps security principles, including access controls and secrets management.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI is preferred.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation is advantageous.
• An interest in artificial intelligence concepts, with enthusiasm for exploring AI tools to enhance processes and efficiency.
