Job summary

BVNK Ltd in the United States is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design, scale, and maintain our multi-region cloud infrastructure powering a global payments network. You will advance CI/CD pipelines, implement IaC standards, strengthen observability, and embed security across the deployment lifecycle, working closely with engineering teams in a hybrid/remote setup.

Bring hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker/Kubernetes, and modern observability tools.

Qualifications

• Proven DevOps/Cloud engineering experience in production systems.
• IaC expertise with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong Docker and Kubernetes production experience.
• CI/CD pipeline design and automation (GitHub Actions or ArgoCD).
• Hands-on observability tooling experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch).
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go for automation.
• Solid cloud security fundamentals, network architecture, and secrets management.
• Bonus: experience in regulated environments, payments/FinTech/crypto.
• Bonus: AI-assisted developer workflows or automation tooling.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

FUNCTION

Engineering We are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Senior DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, scaling, and maintaining the resilient, highly available cloud infrastructure powering our global payments network. You will partner closely with engineering teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines, drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) standards, enhance platform observability, and embed robust security and automation across our entire deployment lifecycle.

• Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture: Design, provision, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient multi-region cloud infrastructure using modern Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• CI/CD & Deployment Automation: Architect, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines to ensure safe, repeatable, and automated releases across environments.
• Platform Reliability & Observability: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting systems to ensure high uptime and rapid incident response.
• Security & Compliance Standards: Embed DevSecOps best practices into every stage of the software lifecycle, maintaining rigorous security controls, automated compliance checks, and access management.
• Developer Experience & Tooling: Build and maintain developer platforms and self-service tooling that empower software engineers to deploy, test, and manage services independently and efficiently.
• Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Champion operational excellence and automation within the team, providing guidance and mentorship to engineers across the wider organisation.

What we need from you

• Extensive DevOps / Cloud Engineering Experience: Proven track record operating and scaling production systems within modern cloud environments (e.g., AWS).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Deep expertise with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to manage complex infrastructure at scale.
• Containerisation & Orchestration: Strong production experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS or equivalent).
• CI/CD Mastery: Proven experience designing and optimising automated pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions or ArgoCD.
• Observability & Monitoring: Hands‑on experience with modern observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch).
• Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting proficiency in languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Security-First Approach: Solid understanding of cloud security fundamentals, network architecture (VPCs, firewalls, load balancers), permissions segregations and secrets management.
• Bonus: Experience operating infrastructure in regulated environments, payments, FinTech, or crypto/blockchain platforms.
• Bonus: Exposure to AI-assisted developer workflows or automation tooling.
