About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our client’s cloud infrastructure team. This fully remote, contract-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to help design and maintain robust Azure-based environments, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and support the performance, security, and reliability of mission-critical systems in a fast-paced, regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or related tools
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
• Monitor system performance and availability across development, staging, and production environments
• Automate security, compliance, and operational best practices across all environments
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize build, deployment, and release workflows
• Manage cloud resources and support cost optimization strategies within Azure
• Set up and maintain observability tools such as Application Insights, Log Analytics, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Continuously refine operational processes and deployment strategies
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and architecture
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
• Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes preferred)
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and regulatory compliance
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, finance, etc.)
• Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, or other compliance frameworks
• Knowledge of SQL Server, Azure SQL, and cloud-based database management
• Background in microservices architecture
