Job summary

ClearlyAgile is actively seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support customers and developers with cloud-native infrastructure. You will help safeguard the platform and drive automation across the SDLC.

In this role, you will analyze the tech stack, establish delivery milestones, and craft cloud-migration strategies while mentoring other engineers in enterprise-level DevOps solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes, GitLab, and Terraform.
• Cloud knowledge with GCP preferred.
• Experience establishing/developing CI pipelines (Azure DevOps and GitLab).
• Experience establishing/developing CD pipelines (Azure DevOps and GitLab).
• Experience provisioning cloud infrastructure and re-platforming apps.
• Experience with large-scale systems (.NET, Node, Go, Vue, Angular).
• Experience in an Agile environment.
• Degree in CS or SWE preferred.
• Understanding security best practices.

Responsibilities

We are hiring an experienced DevOps Engineer to help us support existing and new customers. If you're dedicated, ambitious and have a passion for working with the latest leading edge Cloud Native technologies, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the developers and customers using the infrastructure you are involved with developing, and being our company's first line of defense in protecting our entire platform against hackers and viruses.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze the company's current technology stack and develop strategy to continuously improve application delivery


• Establish milestones to measure and monitor the delivery and reliability of software as strategies are implemented


• Identify manual processes during the software development lifecycle that can be automated


• Develop a cloud-migration strategy for software not currently hosted in a cloud environment


• Periodically review company's infrastructure and hosting cost to identify opportunities for cost savings


• Establish best practices and mentor other engineers in enterprise-level DevOps solutions


• Environment: Kubernetes, Docker, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jira, Terraform, Auth0

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Gitlab, and Terraform


• Cloud knowledge (Google Cloud Platform preferred)


• Experience establishing/developing continuous integration pipelines (Azure DevOps and GitLab preferred)


• Experience establishing/developing continuous delivery pipelines (Azure DevOps and GitLab preferred)


• Experience provisioning cloud infrastructure and re-platforming applications into a cloud environment


• Experience developing, deploying and supporting large scale systems (.NET, Node, Go, Vue, Angular experience preferred)


• Experience working in an Agile environment


• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is preferred


• Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures


• Experience working together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan

LOCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• This is a remote role, candidates must be located in the US


• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship (no subcontracts or visa sponsorship)
