As part of Loggerhead’s Information Technology (IT) team, the Azure DevOps Engineer will maintain the cloud environment, perform infrastructure deployments, and ensure cloud environments operate secure and efficient. The position will work closely with the development team and other key stakeholders in the business to support their needs in a manner that is secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, and auditable.
A Day in the Life could include:
- Design and implement scalable and secure Azure solutions which align with business requirements, leveraging knowledge of Azure services, architectures, and best practices.
- Manage and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure ensuring proper configuration and security measures are in place.
- Implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for deploying applications and infrastructure within Azure DevOps.
- Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies using Azure services to ensure data integrity, availability, and quick recovery in case of failures.
- Monitor cloud environment health and drive improvements to enhance reliability, availability, and performance.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to Azure infrastructure, services, and deployments.
- Ensure all code/technical configurations and other work products are thoroughly unit-tested prior to delivery.
- Adhere to all SDLC and technology architecture requirements. Contribute to architecture design principles and standards as appropriate.
- Proactively identify and communicate potential problems and issues to project team members/leaders. Proactively identify alternatives and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, guidelines, and knowledge base articles to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team.
- Stay updated with Azure, new services, changes, and more, to ensure our environment is leveraging the latest benefits from cloud providers.

Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of experience in a DevOps role with at least three (3) years of experience in Azure cloud computing services and cloud computing delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS).
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud services (Application Gateway, API Management, Kubernetes, CosmosDB, Key Vault, Blob Storage, and App Insights).
- Experience with container orchestration platforms, such as Kubernetes, for managing scalable and resilient application deployments.
- Knowledge and experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Helm and branching methodologies.
- Knowledge and experience in IaC (e.g., ARM Templates/ Bicep/ Terraform).
- Strong scripting or programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of microservices architecture and API design principles.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks or SQL Managed Instances.
- Application monitoring (APM) experience with DataDog or Azure App Insights.
- Experience with federated IdP (Azure Active Directory and SAML)
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or in a related discipline.
- Azure DevOps related certifications (AZ-400 or AZ-500)
Working Conditions
- Hybrid work environment with option to flexibly split time working remotely and at corporate headquarters located in Tampa, FL.
- Required to work flexible hours and/or weekends as needed.
