HPE seeks a DevOps Engineer for our Sunnyvale, CA office to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software for a mature CI/CD pipeline. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, tools, and integrations across back-end systems, and conduct root cause analyses of production issues to improve reliability.

The role emphasizes observability, troubleshooting procedures, and keeping developer resources updated with security patches. A hybrid work model and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of development experience.
• University/bachelor's degree; MBA preferred.
• Problem-solving attitude with a collaborative team spirit.
• Good knowledge of Docker and container workflows.
• Good knowledge of Java, Groovy or Python.
• Working knowledge of AI prompt engineering.
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub/GitLab workflows.
• Working knowledge of Jenkins or similar CI/CD platforms.

Responsibilities

Job description

• HPE is seeking a DevOps Engineer to work in our Sunnyvale, California office. This person will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting and debugging software programs to support a mature CI/CD pipeline
• The DevOps Engineer will be a contributions include applying intermediate level of subject matter expertise to solve common technical problems. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and recommendations for appropriate action. Works independently within an established framework and with moderate supervision
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve user experience
• Develop and maintain integrations with internal back-end systems
• Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
• Develop observability tools for the end-to-end lifecycle of the pipeline
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
• Maintain common developer resources, including ensuring that relevant security updates are continuously applied
