Job summary

Axos Bank seeks a DevOps Engineer in San Diego, CA to design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across AWS and on-premises environments following standard operating procedures. You will work with development, security, and operations teams to refine requirements and implement cloud, CI/CD, and Kubernetes changes, delivering reliable deployments.

Offered salary is $136,068 per year with 40 hours per week, plus annual discretionary bonuses and equity targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in DevOps or related roles.
• Experience with Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
• Coordinate with development, security, and operations teams for cloud, CI/CD, and Kubernetes changes.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Confluence, Terraform, AWS resources (EC2/VPC/IAM/S3/EKS).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across AWS and on-premises environments.
• Deliver releases through CI/CD and GitOps using Jenkins, Argo CD, and GitHub.
• Administer Kubernetes platforms on Amazon EKS and on-premises Rancher deployments.
• Monitor and secure deployments with CloudWatch, Prometheus, and logging tools.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related occupation: utilizing Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to deliver platform and infrastructure work; coordinating with development, security, and operations teams to refine requirements and implement cloud, CI/CD, and Kubernetes changes; utilizing ServiceNow for incident and change management, including CAB submissions, implementation plans, rollback procedures, and post-change reviews; utilizing Confluence to create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and technical documentation; provisioning and managing AWS resources using Terraform, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EKS, Application Load Balancers (ALB), and KMS, and implementing monitoring and audit logging with Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail to support consistent reliable deployments; administering Kubernetes platforms on Amazon EKS and on-premises RKE2 (managed via Rancher), and delivering releases through CI/CD and GitOps using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Argo CD, and Helm/Kustomize; implementing ingress and Gateway API routing (Nginx/Cilium), monitor with Prometheus/Grafana/Splunk/CloudWatch, and run Kubernetes backup/restore with Cohesity/Portworx.

Offered salary is between $136,068 and $136,068 per year. 40 hours per week.
