We have fun; we love our work. We are positive, kind, and hungry to learn. We give big; we aim to make a real impact on the causes that affect the communities we serve and build strong relationships with the dedicated volunteers and nonprofit organizations working to address them.

We are all about people and community. Since 2002, we have offered technology staffing and managed services for the greater Seattle area and throughout the United States. We focus on getting to know our clients and candidates to create lasting partnerships and ensure success.

Our client is looking for a DevOps Engineer who will build and maintain an internal application that captures and manages data use cases end to end. The solution will serve as the foundation for automating data access management, integrating with ServiceNow, Acryl Data Catalog, and Snowflake to apply data policies and enforce row-level security. This role will focus on delivering a scalable, automated framework that connects business use cases with technical controls—ensuring consistency, compliance, and efficiency across our data environment.

Application Infrastructure & Automation

  • Design and build CI/CD pipelines for deploying the data use case application.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Maintain version control, environment consistency, and automated testing workflows.
  • Design automation workflows that connect use case submissions to policy application and access provisioning in Snowflake.

Integration & Data Connectivity

  • Build and maintain integrations with ServiceNow, Acryl Data Catalog, and Snowflake to automate data access requests, policy enforcement, and metadata synchronization.
  • Develop and maintain APIs and service integrations that link business use cases to their technical data elements (schemas, tables, and columns).
  • Implement secure credential management and API gateway standards.

Security & Access Control

  • Work closely with the data governance team to enforce row-level security (RLS) and PII classification standards.
  • Implement automated propagation of RLS and data policy configurations based on approved use cases.
  • Enable automated tagging, policy propagation, and user authorization pipelines aligned with governance rules.

Monitoring & Optimization

  • Build observability into the system—metrics, logs, and alerts.
  • Optimize build/deploy cycles and monitor integration health.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and test environments.
  • Partner with data engineers, governance leads, and cloud teams to align architecture.
  • Document infrastructure, deployment standards, and integration workflows.
  • Support DevOps best practices for automation, reliability, and reproducibility.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with Snowflake administration, API integrations, and ServiceNow workflows.
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of OAuth, SAML, or Auth0 for secure authentication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating with data catalogs (e.g., Acryl DataHub, Alation, Collibra).
  • Background in data governance or data engineering environments.
  • Knowledge of SQL and metadata management at schema and column level.
  • Familiarity with row-level security and data privacy frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Success Criteria

  • CI/CD pipelines for the app are automated, reliable, and versioned.
  • Integrations with ServiceNow, Data Catalog, and Snowflake function seamlessly.
  • Metadata, access, and policy configurations are synchronized across systems.
  • The application supports detailed capture of data use cases, including data sources, security requirements, and access policies.
  • Governance workflows for approval and policy application are fully automated and scalable.

Must be able to work for a US based company without requiring visa sponsorship.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Hourly pay rate is up to $55/hr based on shift, experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.
