Job summary

Calance in New York, NY, is seeking an AI DevOps Engineer for a hybrid role with 10–12 onsite days per month. You will design, build, and manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and supporting infra for AI/ML applications across development, testing, staging, and production environments.

You will collaborate with AI/ML engineers and internal teams to support Azure and on‑prem deployments, ensure security, and manage containerized workloads. A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in DevOps are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in DevOps, cloud or infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years building CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Deep Azure DevOps expertise: YAML pipelines, releases, environments, access controls.
• Experience deploying containerized AI/ML apps across Azure/on‑prem

Responsibilities

• Own the full deployment lifecycle: build automation, testing, security validation, containerization, artifact management, release promotion, deployment verification, rollback.
• Develop and maintain Azure DevOps YAML pipelines and reusable components following firm standards.
• Partner with AI/ML engineers to understand architecture, dependencies, hosting needs.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to support provisioning and configuration of AI/ML environments.
• Support deployments across Microsoft Azure and on‑premises VMs and VDI environments.
• Safeguard highly sensitive and privileged information.

Pay Range: $160,000–$175,000 annually

About the Role

Our client, a leading global law firm, is hiring an AI DevOps Engineer to join its Technology & Information Services team. You'll design, build, and manage automated Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and supporting infrastructure for AI, ML, and agentic AI applications across development, testing, staging, and production environments. This is a hybrid role based in New York, with 10–12 days per month onsite.

What You'll Do

• Own the full deployment lifecycle: build automation, testing, security validation, containerization, artifact management, release promotion, deployment verification, and rollback
• Develop and maintain Azure DevOps YAML pipelines and reusable pipeline components that follow firm engineering standards
• Partner with AI Software Engineers, ML Engineers, and other development teams to understand application architecture, dependencies, and hosting needs

What You Bring

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
• Deep Azure DevOps expertise: YAML pipelines, build and release automation, service connections, environments, approvals, artifacts, variables, and access controls
• Strong grasp of CI/CD, automated deployment strategies, release management, DevSecOps, configuration management, and change control
• Experience deploying and supporting containerized AI/ML, Generative AI, or data‑intensive applications across Azure and on‑prem environments
