Job summary

Cloud Analytics Technologies, LLC seeks a DevOps Engineer to support and enhance trading systems in a Linux-based production environment. You will collaborate with traders, developers, and IT to deploy and support production software within a Fixed Income trading setting.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in DevOps or Production/Applications Support.
• Strong Linux experience, particularly RHEL 8, with command-line operations and shell scripting.
• Experience in a Fixed Income trading environment or trading floor is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Programming or scripting with Python.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support and enhance existing trading systems using modern technologies, data, and software architectures. The role involves working closely with traders, developers, and IT teams to deploy and support production software, primarily within a Fixed Income trading environment. This is a Level 3 Production Support role requiring strong Linux, deployment, scripting, and incident management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and enhance existing trading systems in a production environment.
• Work closely with traders, developers, and IT teams to manage software deployments.
• Implement pre-release and post-deployment verification processes.
• Integrate application deployments with Rundeck and Azure DevOps.
• Develop and maintain application control solutions, including start/stop scripts.
• Integrate applications with monitoring tools such as OpsRamp, Grafana, and Splunk.
• Support annual Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) testing.
• Provision and configure new servers.
• Support user authentication and authorization processes.
• Configure authentication mechanisms and service accounts.
• Troubleshoot production issues and manage incidents.
• Define, document, and maintain operational procedures and runbooks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 3-7 years of experience in DevOps, Production Support, or Application Support.
• Strong experience with Linux (RHEL 8), command-line operations, file manipulation, and shell scripting.
• Experience working in a Fixed Income trading environment or on a trading floor.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python.
• Familiarity with Java application logs and troubleshooting.
• Experience with software packaging, release management, and deployment.
• Familiarity with deployment automation tools such as Rundeck and Ansible.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong incident management and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
