Job Overview

We are seeking a hands-on DevOps / Level 3 Production Support Engineer to support mission-critical trading applications within a financial services environment. This role will work closely with traders, developers, and IT teams to manage software releases, production deployments, and operational support for trading systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Fixed Income trading environments, strong Linux skills, and practical knowledge of deployment automation, scripting, and production troubleshooting. This position requires a methodical problem solver who can coordinate with technical and business teams to ensure smooth, reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

• Work directly with traders, developers, and IT teams to coordinate software releases and production deployments.
• Package, deploy, and support applications across production and non-production environments.
• Perform Level 3 production support, troubleshoot deployment failures, and resolve application and infrastructure issues.
• Execute pre-release and post-deployment validation to ensure application stability.
• Develop and maintain deployment scripts, start/stop scripts, and operational procedures.
• Integrate deployment processes with tools such as Azure DevOps, Rundeck, and Ansible.
• Monitor application logs, identify errors, and coordinate resolution with development teams.
• Support Linux servers, perform command-line troubleshooting, and execute shell scripts.
• Configure and support service accounts, authentication, and authorization workflows.
• Provision and configure servers and assist with application environment setup.
• Maintain runbooks, technical documentation, and incident management procedures.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity testing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate production risks, incidents, and corrective actions.

Required Technical Skills :

• Linux: Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL 8), command-line utilities, file management, and shell scripting.
• Trading Systems: Experience supporting trading floor applications, preferably within a Fixed Income environment.
• Cloud / DevOps: Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Scripting and Programming: Python scripting and familiarity with Java application logs.
• Deployment and Packaging: Experience with software packaging, release management, and application deployment.
• Job Scheduling: Experience with Tidal or similar enterprise scheduling tools.
• Production Support: Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and deployment issue resolution skills.
• Documentation: Ability to create and maintain operational procedures, runbooks, and support documentation.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile development practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with traders, developers, and IT stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience with Fixed Income trading platforms or other financial trading systems.
• Familiarity with Rundeck, Ansible, and automated deployment workflows.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, or OpsRamp.
• Knowledge of job scheduling tools such as Tidal, AutoSys, or Control-M.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including tables, views, indexes, and query performance.
• Experience supporting authentication, authorization, and service account configurations.
• Exposure to disaster recovery and business continuity testing.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Ideal Candidate Profile :

The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of relevant experience in DevOps, application support, or production engineering, preferably in a banking or financial services environment. Candidates should be comfortable working directly with traders and development teams, supporting production deployments, and resolving issues in a fast-paced trading environment.
