Akaasa Technologies is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Miami. The role blends on-site and remote work (hybrid) with a 8am-5pm schedule. You will drive automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployments across AWS, on-prem, and hosted environments.

You'll implement IaC, monitor systems, and support cross-functional teams while contributing to architecture diagrams and robust documentation in a fast-paced aviation-adjacent domain.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven DevOps experience with automation and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Proficiency in Java-based application environments and development workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Experience deploying across AWS, hosted servers, and on-premises environments.
• IaC using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and proactive issue resolution strategies.
• Security best practices in CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployments.
• Experience supporting sales teams with demos, proofs of concepts, and technical proposals.
• Ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable solutions.
• Excellent documentation skills for processes, configurations, and diagrams.
• Strong communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience with ITIL processes and Level 2/3 production support.

POSITIONS

DevOps Engineer

LOCATION

Work Schedule: 8am-5pm

Location: Miami (Hybrid 3 days onsite / 2 days remote) candidates in or near Coral Gables are ideal

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Must-haves: Kubernetes, AWS, Linux, CI/CD pipeline integration, automation
• Hands-on in all stages of development, not just execution. Works from tickets and handles escalations (Level 2/3 support).
• Comfortable using AI tools like Claude to automate processes and testing. Many of their processes are already automated, so he wants someone smart and proactive.
• Experience managing environments and releases is a plus. Airline/aviation software or legacy-to-cloud modernization experience is a bonus.

Requirements
