Job summary

M1 Technology seeks a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines, and to provision scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform.

As a core member of the team you will monitor systems with Prometheus and CloudWatch, automate deployments with Bash and Python, and ensure high availability of PostgreSQL and MySQL databases. Qualifications

• Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Proficiency with IaC tools, Terraform.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch.
• Experience with containerization (Docker and Podman).
• Scripting in Bash and Python.
• Experience with database self-hosting including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems such as Prometheus/Alertmanager and CloudWatch.
• Experience integrating diverse software systems: AWS cloud services, open-source applications, COTS/GOTS products, and custom applications.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, IAM policies, and AWS architecture best practices.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, branching strategies, and version control best practices.

Clearance Requirement : TS/SCI with Polygraph

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage secure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment.
• Provision and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems, including Prometheus and CloudWatch, to ensure operational health and reliability.
• Develop and automate operational tasks and system deployments using strong scripting proficiency in Bash and Python.
• Administer and ensure the high availability, backup, and performance tuning of self-hosted database instances like PostgreSQL and MySQL.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience implementing and managing Cl/CD pipelines (Jenkins required)
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform (required)
• Demonstrated experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, 1AM, CloudWatch, and other core services
• Demonstrated experience with containerization (such as Docker and Pod man)
• Strong scripting proficiency: Bash (required) and Python (required)
• Experience with database self-hosting including installation, configuration, backup/recovery, high availability, and performance tuning (PostgreSQL and MySQL)
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems such as Prometheus/Alertmanager and CloudWatch
• Demonstrated experience integrating and deploying diverse software systems: AWS cloud services, open-source applications, COTS/GOTS products, and custom applications
• Strong understanding of networking, security, 1AM policies, and AWS architecture best practices
• Experience with Git-based workflows, branching strategies, and version control best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying and managing data platform components: Apache Spark, Tri no, Apache Ranger, Apache Iceberg, Apache Superset, data catalogs
• Familiarity with data lakehouse architectures and supporting infrastructure
• Experience with secrets management solutions (AWS Secrets Manager, Parameter Store)
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup strategies, and continuity planning
• Familiarity with API gateways and modern microservices patterns
• Experience with cost optimization practices in AWS
• Background deploying and supporting Al/ML workloads or model serving infrastructure
• Experience mentoring team members on DevOps and cloud best practices
• Experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, etc.)
• Familiarity with additional monitoring tools (Grafana, ELK stack)
• Experience integrating customer's Enterprise services
